In a letter addressed to Hristijan Mickoski, leader of the VMRO-DPMNE party in North Macedonia, U.S. official Wess Mitchell expressed disappointment over the party’s stance on the Prespa Agreement. Mitchell emphasized that the agreement between North Macedonia and Greece was a historic opportunity for North Macedonia’s future, especially regarding NATO and EU integration. He urged Mickoski to encourage MPs to vote on constitutional changes free from coercion, warning that this moment of political decision could define the country’s future.
