Among these, around 3,000 Russians and approximately 5,000 Filipinos make up notable portions of the foreign population living in Turkey.

Filipinos, in particular, are commonly hired as domestic helpers, caregivers, or workers in hospitality, drawn to Turkey due to better employment opportunities and higher wages compared to their home country.
The Russian community, on the other hand, includes individuals who have relocated to Turkey for various reasons, including marriage to Turkish citizens, real estate investments, or for tourism-related businesses. The coastal areas, particularly those near popular holiday destinations, have attracted a significant number of Russians who either work in or have started businesses within the tourism sector.
Turkey’s geographical location as a bridge between Europe and Asia has made it a popular destination for both temporary and permanent foreign residents. Its rapidly developing economy and cultural ties to various countries have further encouraged this trend.
While these foreign communities contribute to the local economy and society, they also face challenges, such as integrating into Turkish culture, navigating the legal system, and securing long-term residency status. Despite these hurdles, many find opportunities in Turkey that they might not have access to in their home countries, which is why the number of foreign nationals living in Turkey continues to grow steadily.
