Leader of the opposition party, Democrat Liberal Party (PLD), Andrej Zernovski, warns for fresh cross ethnic tension in FYROM.
Zernovski, who is the head of the Center borough in Skopje, where massive monuments were placed by the last government, expresses his concern about the current situation in the country, stressing that policies of the party in power, VMRO-DPMNE are to be blamed for this.
“I have expressed my concern about the strategy of the government, which always ends up by jailing judges when there are problems. Then, surprisingly enough, Ebola emerged in Macedonia at the time when a negative progress report was due to be issued about the government. After the warning that the opposition is getting ready to shed light on several materials, I can see that cross ethnic problems are emerging. I fear that this will be the government’s response about what the opposition is preparing. The coming period will show what will the opposition do and what will be the response”, declared Zernovski.
Zernovski said that the opposition doesn’t give up on its strategy for boycott of parliament, but also warns for a new strategy of political action.
“We must come up with a concrete strategy which will tell the citizens that the opposition has a vision”, said Zernovski. /ibna/
