Leader of the largest Macedonian opposition party LSDM (Macedonian Social Democratic League), Zoran Zaev said today that small parties that have no representatives in parliament or only one, cannot act as opposition.

“Parties than have not won any seats or who have won only one seat cannot be credible representatives of the opposition in parliament. This is the culmination of absurdity. Opposition is out of parliament, but it’s not out of the country”, declared Zaev.

According to him, LSDM is consistent in its positioning for a technical government and the holding of fresh elections and also, according to him, to bring back the country into a normal state, with a functional democracy, freedom and rule of law.

Zaev has rejected the accusations addressed by the government that the opposition is acting on behalf of enemies, by preventing European integration processes.

“The government has addressed these groundless accusations, but the biggest enemy of Macedonia is its government, which after every electoral cycle and with its actions, is enabling Greece and the EU to think about withdrawing the recommendation for the start of talks”, said the leader of Macedonian opposition. /ibna/
