“If the new constitutional name Republic of North Macedonia is not used, then this means that Constitution is not being respected.” This was declared by the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Zoran Zaev who answered reporters’ questions regarding the bills that president Gjorge Ivanov is refusing to sign for not recognizing the new country’s name.
Zaev said that he was confident that a solution will be found in order for these bills to come into effect.
On Monday, parliament said that Ivanov has not signed the decrees for the 11 bills. These bills must once again go back to parliament and they need to be voted by a simple majority of MPs. Once this is done, then the bills will come into effect. /ibna/
