North Macedonia in this period is fully focused on securing a date for the start of EU accession talks in October, as well as on progress in ratifying the NATO Accession Protocol, the country’s two strategic goals for realization, of which the US has made a major contribution.
This was stated by Prime Minister Zoran Zaev at a meeting with State Department senior officials, Assistant Secretary of State Philip Reeker and High Representative for the Western Balkans, Matthew Palmer, held within the framework of the 74th UN General Assembly, in New York.
