Kosovo will have an Olympic center until June 23, 2016 the latest. Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport has started today the contest for the company that will build the Olympic center. Minister Memli Krasniqi considered this project as a “lacked center” so far.

If not on June 23, 2015, Kosovo will have an Olympic center until June 23, 2016.

This was said by acting minister of Sport, Memli Krasniqi, who has considered the Olympic center which will be built as a home for all sport federations, Olympic and paraolympic committee.

Krasniqi said on Monday that work on this center will start in the weeks to come and added that a professional jury will have 80% of the votes for the selection of the winning company, while 20% of the votes will belong to the citizens.

“From today until Friday at 4 pm, all citizens and above all, sportsmen and sports lovers, will be able to come at the Museum of Kosovo in order to see the projects, value them and participate with their vote”.

“20% of the final assessment will be decided by the public, while 80% by the professional jury which consists on representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Olympic committee of Kosovo, association of sports journalists and so on”.

“I hope that if the project doesn’t end next year, then it will end on June 23, 2016 at the latest. This center will be the house of sports in Kosovo”, said Krasniqi.

Meanwhile, the head of the Olympic Committee of Kosovo, Besim Hasani considered this day as a special day which will be crowned with an object that enables sportsmen to conduct their activities.

“It’s a special day. It’s the world Olympic day and I don’t think that there’s anything better than to crown this day by offering to sportsmen the opportunity to conduct their activities. It’s a center that we have been lacking and which is now becoming a reality”, said Hasani. /ibna/
