Kosovo’s parliamentary speaker, Kadri Veseli, declared today that Kosovo’s seventh anniversary of independence finds the country with many achievements, but also many challenges, such as the large number of people leaving the country.
In the parliamentary steering committee meeting, Veseli said that constant improvement will come through collaboration and maturely.
“The number of people who are leaving their country and their homes do not make us feel very proud, but, at the same time, this makes us more responsible in the necessity to improve the life of these people”, said he.
Speaking about the number of countries that have recognized Kosovo, the parliamentary speaker said that he hopes on new recognitions, because the process of the proclamation of independence is irreversible.
Asked about the lack of laws in parliament, Veseli said that it’s the government of Kosovo that sponsors laws.
“As you know, government of Kosovo is the sponsor of laws. At the moment when they submit bills, we process them, but I’d like to stress that we will soon have incentives from MPs and especially in the domain of business”, said Veseli. /ibna/
