Deputy prime minister for the implementation of the Ohrid Agreement, Musa Xhaferi declared today that Albanians and BDI ministers are those who contribute in the implementation of the Ohrid Agreement, while Macedonians are reserved.

According to him, Albanians have made dynamic efforts in order to achieve the best results.

“This depends by the party policies. Unfortunately, there’s a reception that Albanians are the ones who contribute for the implementation of the Agreement, because they’re interested to benefit from the voters, while the other side is against, as it may lose voters”, declared Xhaferi.

According to him, the historical value of the agreement is that when it was signed, it saved the  state from destruction and it was authentic in comparison to other peaceful agreements because it’s not based on territorial divisions, but on the fact that the country must be promoted as a democratic state. Xhaferi made these comments as a result of the fact that Macedonian officials avoided comments on the occasion of the 13th anniversary of the Ohrid Agreement. On this anniversary, Premier Nikola Gruevski was on holiday in Turkey, while president George Ivanov in Ohrid. The Ohrid Agreement was the peaceful agreement achieved on August 13, 2001 in Ohrid, which prevented the 2001 conflict between Albanians and Macedonians. /ibna/
