World Wide Web inventor comes to Bucharest

The inventor of the famous “www” or World Wide Web is coming to Romania. Tim Berners – Lee is expected to participate, on November the 12th, in a conference attended by Romanian scientists and IT students.

The main topic of discussion will be the invention and future of the Web. Tim Berners – Lee will also open up about the motivation behind his invention and the long journey needed to turn the project into reality.

The English computer scientist is 60 years old and he is the director of the World Wide Web Consortium, which oversees the Web’s continued development. Tim Berners-Lee was knighted by Queen Elizabeth the II nd in 2004, for his pioneering work.
