Kosovo’s PM, Isa Mustafa declared today that the capacities of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the World Bank (WB) have not been exploited as they should have. Today, he asked for a bigger involvement of these banks in Kosovo.
“I believe that the capacities of EBRD and World Bank have not been exploited as they should have in our country. We need a bigger and more powerful participation of these institutions in development projects in the private and public sector”, declared Mustafa in the joint press conference for social economic development of Kosovo, hosted by the government of Kosovo, EU Office in Kosovo and the World Bank.
He said that the projects of technical assistance must be turned into projects of direct investments in the domain of production and development.
Mustafa also expressed the need for bigger investments in energy, road infrastructure, railway and agriculture.
“I would like for the discussions that took place here to contribute for a bigger support by the European Union, World Bank and other financial institutions”, Mustafa said.
Besides the PM, present in this conference were also representatives of the European Commission, the World Bank and minister for European Integration, Bekim Collaku. /ibna/
