The World Bank has published  a report according to which, the number of people who work in black in Albania amounts to 48% of the general number. Meanwhile, based on the report published yesterday, the Albanian government has no clear strategy against poverty. The report says that 70% of people who work in the construction sector, are not declared for tax purposes. In the service sector, this percentage is 35 and in the industry sector it’s 46.

The World Bank report notes that the quality of employment is low and that informality is wide spread. The report also notes that the education level of employees outside the agricultural sector is low. The construction sector attracts many unqualified workers, meanwhile, the service sector has most of the qualified workforce.

Based on the report, over 82% of workers in the service sector have a university degree. The World Bank says that Albania is facing numerous challenges in the labor market. /ibna/
