CDU-CSU MP in the German Bundestag, Elizabeth Winkelmeier-Becker declared that the ruling of the Constitutional Court in relation to the political crisis in Kosovo is absurd and in violation with the democratic rules of a parliamentary system.
“It’s unbelievable for the court to rule that those who have created a majority in parliament, not to be allowed to be represented as such. According to her, if such rules exist in Kosovo, they can be considered as a violation with the democratic rules in a parliamentary system”, declared MP Winkelmeier-Becker, who has served as a judge in Germany for 13 years.
During a visit in Pristina, where she has met with representatives of the Democratic League of Kosovo, she mentioned a number of examples where the party that had won the majority of votes, could not create a parliamentary majority and as a result, institutions were established by those who had the parliamentary majority.
During her stay in Pristina, Winkelmeier-Becker has had meetings with senior officials of LDK and has participated in the training held by Conrad Adenauer Stiftung for the strengthening of women in politics and decision making. /ibna/
