Leader of Macedonian opposition, Zoran Zaev has joined protesters last night in front of the government building, following his meeting in Strasbour with PM Nikola Gruevski.

Zaev told protesters that SDSM (Macedonian Social Democratic Union) and the entire opposition is in favor of negotiations to take the country out of the deep political crisis.

“We agree with what the European Union said, because we want to offer a chance to the process of negotiations and we’re trying to launch a clear agenda. So far, we have talked about a frame agreement. I will not reveal the details, but we are committed for the process to yield results in order for the political crisis to end”, Zaev declared.

According to him, the meeting in Strasbourg was held face to face with PM Nikola Gruevski and in the presence of MEPs and EU Enlargement Commissioner, Johannes Hahn.

Zaev says that the talks will continue on May 26 in Skopje, where leaders of Albanian parties will be informed on the new developments. /ibna/
