Serbia’s President, Aleksandar Vucic and the German Ambassador, Axel Dittmann had a meeting on Thursday, December 28 during which bilateral ties, German investment in Serbia and the country’s EU accession route were discussed.
Both men agreed that political relations between the two countries “had significantly improved” as written by BETA, and at the same time, Vucic expressed “his gratitude for the support that Germany was offering Serbia on its European road, as well as its devotion to stabilizing the situation and ensuring cooperation in the Western Balkans, especially through the Berlin Process.”
Vucic sent a statement in which he underlined that thanks to the German companies in Serbia nearly 43,000 people are employed expressed his wish that 2018 will bring even more German investment projects to the country.
Germany’s ambassador reiterated that Berlin supports Serbia’s EU accession, “as well as the reform process, especially in the area of the rule of law.”
