Macedonian party, VMRO-NP has demanded from VMRO-DPMNE to abrogate the law on birth stimulation in FYROM, which has been approved in 2008. This demand has been made because this law doesn’t benefit Macedonians, but other communities, mainly Albanian.

According to the law on birth stimulation, financial aid from the state is offered to all mothers who give birth to their third child and this aid continues for 15 years.

According to this party, as a result of demographic changes, Macedonian identity is at risk.

“During the time that this law has been in force, statistics on birth show catastrophic demographic changes at the detriment of the Macedonian people. Given that from one year to another, this tendency is growing fast, Macedonian identity will be even more threatened in the near future as a result of the damaging consequences of this law”, reacted VMRO-NP, calling for the annulment of this law. /ibna/
