VMRO-DPMNE declared today that PM Zoran Zaev is damaging the country’s position in the talks being held with Greece on the issue of the name change.
The reaction of the largest opposition party comes following an interview by Zaev for Reuters, where he has mentioned the four proposals on the name which are being negotiated and the government’s position on this process.
“Zoran Zaev has declared for international media that he’s ready to make particular concessions to the Greeks regarding amendments with the Constitution, while later, he tries to correct himself and explain his position. Zaev is not giving up his policies which are against state and national interests”, VMRO-DPMNE said.
Yesterday, Reuters said that PM Zaev has declared that FYROM has offered four possibilities for the solution of the name dispute with Greece, while the government dismissed this information, saying that these proposals have been made by the UN mediator, Matthew Nimetz. /balkaneu.com/
