Current party in power, VMRO-DPMNE declared today that it has pressed charges against the leader of the opposition party LSDM (Macedonian Social Democratic League), Zoran Zaev, as according to this party, he has published forged materials against the leader of VMRO-DPMNE, Nikola Gruevski.
The leader of the biggest Macedonian opposition party, Zoran Zaev submitted yesterday materials and evidence which incriminate Gruevski for abuses and organized crime during the sale of the “Makedonska Banka” shares and allegedly benefiting 1,5 million Euros in cash.
Zaev also published other documents such as payment slips which showed payments illegally benefited by VMRO-DPMNE in donations amounting from 30 thousand to 50 thousand Euros, amounts paid by unknown people during the 2006 electoral campaign.
But, VMRO-DPMNE said that everything that has been published by the Macedonian opposition is a classic forgery and that the opposition leader will face justice.
“What we want to say is that the document that was published by Zaev was a classic and ridiculous forgery. This can easily be proven because the party stamp which has been used in these documents has been declared invalid since 2004. This stamp was officially declared invalid and there’s a court ruling dating back to November 2004 which makes it invalid”, declared Ilija Dimovski, head of the press office of VMRO-DPMNE. The accusations and charges pressed by the two biggest Macedonian parties are dominating the debate in the last days of the electoral campaign for the April 27 elections in FYR Macedonia. /ibna/
