VMRO-DPMNE, led by Nikola Gruevski will head to elections on its own. The State Election Commission held a draw yesterday and this party was given no. 1 on the ballot paper for the early June 5 elections. The list of candidates for MP has also been submitted by two other small parties. NDM, which has not been accepted because it hasn’t complied with the necessary percentage of women candidates and SDPM, which has withdrawn its lists.
VMRO-DPMNE has declared that it will head to elections, in spite of the elections from other parties. The elections are being rejected by the largest opposition party SDSM (Macedonian Social Democratic Union), BDI (Democratic Union for Integration), PDSH (Albanian Democratic Party), which are the parties that have signed the agreement for the solution of the political crisis. According to these parties, the conditions of the Przino Agreement have not been met.
SDSM has stressed that no elections can be held on June 5 and that Gruevski and VMRO-DPMNE are trying to bring back the mono political system and communism in FYROM.
Meanwhile, in an effort to solve the crisis, BDI will submit today to the Constitutional Court, the incentive to abolish the decision to dissolve parliament, taken three months ago, which gave way to the holding of June 5 elections.
According to the deadlines, the electoral campaign will officially start today and it will end on June 3. /balkaneu.com/
