Vice Minister of Environment resigns

The Ministry of Environment and Territorial Planning has announced today that the vice minister Ilir Mirena has issued his resignation from this government post.

The official release of this ministry states that vice minister Mirena has resigned for personal reasons.

Mirena, a former journalists and renowned analyst in the Kosovo media, was appointed in office in May 2011, after the formation of the new cabinet.

A few days ago, Ilir Mirena has resigned from the post of the chairman of the Democratic Party in Kastriot.

Mirena’s resignation comes a few days after Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi announced changes in the government by appointing two new ministers. /ibna/
