US embassy to Skopje has expressed its concern about the situation that media in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia is facing today.
This concern has been expressed through a video material published by this embassy, which outlines the difficult situation of the media in this country.
This video that you will find below has been realized with Macedonian journalists and employees of the Department of Public Relations in the US embassy to Skopje.
The video is called “123” and reflects the position of the country according to the Index of the Freedom of Media, which is published every year by international organization “Journalists without borders”.
The video expresses discontent over the current situation. It stresses that during 2009, FYR Macedonia ranked 34th, while in only 5 years, it has fallen 80 places as far as the freedom of media is concerned.
The video was produced by the American embassy to Skopje and it was published on its official page. The message appeals that time has come for positive changes. /ibna/
