Special US envoy for Ukraine, Kurt Walker says that by the end of the year, Kosovo and Serbia may reach a deal which would mend ties between the two countries and that this would depend on the support that the two countries will have.
Former US ambassador to NATO, Walker told VOA that there’s no turning back in the relations between Kosovo and Serbia and that this agreement is important for both of these countries.
“Everything depends on what these two countries will decide [Kosovo and Serbia]. There is a rule according to which borders cannot change arbitrarily, like it happened with Crimea’s annexation by Russia. If the two countries manage to strike a deal, based on the model followed by Slovakia and Czech Republic, we must accept and respect it”, Walker said. /ibna/
