US ambassador to Skopje, Jess Baily has held a farewell meeting with senior officials in the country as his mandate is nearing the end. After a meeting held last night with PM Zoran Zaev, Baily said that he was happy about the fact that during his term in office, the issue of the name dispute was resolved. According to him, North Macedonia and Greece have taken a historical step with this.
On his part, PM Zoran Zaev said that the US and North Macedonia confirm their strategic partnership in the best possible way there is. According to him, the US support was crucial in the country’s accession to NATO and EU.
The new US ambassador that Trump’s administration has appointed in Skopje is Kate Marie. /ibna/
