The highest unemployment rate in EU is recorded in Greece -24.5%. Second… worst in employment is Spain, with an unemployment rate at 20.8%. The lowest unemployment rates were recorded in Germany and the Czech Republic (4.5%), Malta and the UK (5.1%). In the Eurozone, unemployment rate is at 10.4%.
In Greece, the number of unemployed in October was 1.17 million. The unemployment rate for men stood at 21% and women 28.7%.
The highest youth unemployment rates are also recorded in Greece (48.6%), in Spain (46%), in Croatia (44.1%) and Italy (37.9%). The lowest rates were recorded in Germany (7%), Denmark (10.3%) and the Czech Republic (10.9%).
In December, the youth unemployment in the eurozone stood at 22% and in the EU at 19.7.
