The head of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, Safet Gerxhaliu declared today that unemployment and lack of economic development are the main problems that Kosovo is facing today.
Gerxhaliu made these comments following a meeting with the heads of the ministry of Finance and ministry of Commerce and Industry.
“During this meeting, we discussed economic issues and what should be done in order for economic development to be a priority and how to advance with the achievements”, Gerxhaliu said.
Minister of Commerce and Industry, Hykmete Bajrami said that the reason for this visit is to launch a unification project for the number of businesses.
She said that there are two important projects which are being implemented with financial partners, such as certification of products for the standards of quality and the grants that will be given in cooperation with donors.
Meanwhile, minister of Finance, Avdullah Hoti said that this meeting was a continuation of the meetings being held between the ministries and the Chamber of Commerce.
“Through the investment platform, we are hoping to invest around 520 million euros in different projects which have been approved by the government and which we will soon enable through international loans for our businesses”, minister Hoti said. /ibna/
