The UN Security Council will hold debates today on the situation in Kosovo. The meeting will discuss the report of the UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres concerning the developments in Kosovo from 16 October 2017 until 16 January 2018.
Among others, the report also mentions the murder of the Serb politician, Oliver Ivanovic.
Secretary Guterres stresses that “he welcomes the self restraining shown by political leaders following this cruel crime and the commitment shown by Belgrade and Pristina to collaborate in order to avoid political tension”.
The report also says that the UN Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) and the United Nations continue to support the efforts of the European Union to advance peace, progress and stability in Kosovo.
The report published in the UN’s webpage, also says that the dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade “requires commitment”. /balkaneu.com/
