In March, Kosovo’s Football Federation (FKK) is expected to become UEFA member.
Kosovo’s request to become a member of this important institution will be voted in the next congress on 23 March 2016 in Budapest.
In the meeting held in Malta, UEFA’s executive committee has discussed Kosovo’s request and has decided to send this request for accession to the Congress.
Such news was confirmed by UEFA through a media release, following the meeting of the UEFA executive committee.
“This is a small victory that leads to a great victory”, declared the president of Kosovo Football Federation, Fadil Vokrri, following the meeting.
Vokrri said that plans are now being made for the general assembly of UEFA which is expected to be held in March 2016 in Budapest.
“We need 2/3 of the votes or 36 out of 54 votes and Kosovo is recognized by 37 countries”, Vokrri said. /ibna/
