Two EU Commissioners in the Balkans 

On 9-12 October, two European Commissioners will visit Serbia and Romania respectively, as part of their weekly activities.

Commissioner Christos Stylianides will be in Obrenovac and Belgrade, in Serbia on a two-day visit (9-10 October). Stylianides is responsible for Humanitarian Aid & Crisis Management and he is expected to visit a refugee assistance site.

He will hold meetings with the Serbian President, Aleksandar Vučić as well as the PM of the country, Ana Brnabić.

Due to his post, Commissioner Stylianides is going to meet also with Serbia’s first Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ivica Dačić and Mr Aleksandar Vulin, Minister of Defence and President of the Working Group for Migration of Serbia.

On 12 October, Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs, Skills and Labour Mobility, Marianne Thyssen will be in Iaşi, Romania where she will deliver a keynote speech at the opening and closing of the Exhibition “60 years of EU”.

Thyssen will host a Citizens’ dialogue on the future of Europe alongside her meetings and is going to visit the EU-funded project “Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases” together with Rovana Plumb, Minister-delegate for European Funds…/IBNA
