Turkish war ship violated the greek territorial sea for 19 hours

The Turkish corvette “Bandirma” entered the Greek territorial waters at 09:45 am on Wednesday and remained in the southeastern and central Aegean for nearly a day continuously violating the greek territorial sea.

Greek General Staff assessed this challenge by of the turkish war ship as serious given that it stayed for nearly 19 hours in Greek territorial waters in the southeastern and central Aegean.

The turkish corvette entered the greek territorial sea from eastern Mediterranean on Wednesday March 26 at about 09:45 in the morning and has sailed within Greek territorial waters in the southeastern and central Aegean moving around quite the greek islands. It left the greek territorial waters around 04:30 Thursday morning by passing through the Kafirea narrow (Cavo Doro) and following a northeastern course.

According to Greek General Staff “greek Navy ships were following and watching the said war ship throughout the duration of its course”.
