With headlines the Turkish press makes reference to the results of yesterday’s referendum.
“The slap of NO to Europe” is the title of Vatan. H Turkish newspaper writes that “the people said no to the financial measures of the EU, adding that if Greece does not back down it might be forced to leave the Euro”.
“NO from the people of Greece” is the headline of Hürriyet and comments that “the Greek people voted for their future”. The Turkish newspaper highlights that the people refused to accept the economic measures proposed by the EU, but also adds that “if a solution is not found, Greece might be forced to leave the eurozone”, Hürriyet points out.
“No (oxygen) hit Europe”, writes Akşam. The Turkish newspaper reports that “the Greeks despite the possibility to stay hungry, said no to EU measures. Tsipras took a deep breath but European leaders are worried”.
