An agreement was reached between the Turkish and Russian delegations on the details of the new Idlib truce in northwestern Syria, Turkish Defence Minister Hulusi Akar said.
Talks between the Turkish and Russian military delegations were held in Ankara for four days.
At the conclusion of the consultations, the two delegations signed a document on the Idlib ceasefire framework which came into force immediately, Hulusi Akar said.
The joint patrols of Turkish and Russian forces on the M4 motorway will begin on March 15.
In addition, Defence Minister Hulusi Akar said Turkey and Russia would establish joint co-ordination centers in the region.
The new truce in Idlib was agreed at a meeting of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on March 6./ibna
