Turkey sends medical aid to the United States

Turkey is standing in solidarity with the United States, its NATO ally, against the new coronavirus, Communications Director Fahrettin Altun said on Monday.

“Turkey continues to provide medical supplies to its friends and allies. We are proud to announce that 500,000 surgical masks and other PPEs [personal protective equipment] will arrive at Andrews Air Force Base tomorrow. We stand in solidarity with the United States, our NATO ally, against COVID-19”, Fahrettin Altun tweeted.

Turkey has sent 500,000 surgical masks with a military transport aircraft to the United States, according to the statement. 4000 protective clothing, 2000 liters of disinfectant, 1500 glasses, 400 N95 masks and 500 face shields./ibna
