Kosovo’s Foreign Minister, Hashim Thaci has continued his official visit to Turkey.
After the meeting with the Turkish president, Recep Tayip Erdogan, Foreign Minister Thaci has met today with the PM of the country, Ahmet Davutoglu (photo), to discuss with him the possibility of boosting relations between the two countries.
Deputy PM Thaci thanked PM Davutoglu for his personal engagement in the process of the recognition of the Republic of Kosovo.
The meeting also discussed the latest political developments and economic cooperation, where they agreed that concrete measures will be taken to increase investments in Kosovo.
“On the second day of my visit to Turkey, I had a friendly meeting with PM Ahmet Davutoglu, who congratulated me on the new government and expressed his sympathy for Kosovo, wishing me on the Independence day”, said Foreign Minister Thaci.
On his part, Turkish PM, Ahmet Davutoglu has promised that Turkish diplomacy and he will continue to protect Kosovo’s interests in the international arena. He has promised that he would soon visit Kosovo, but this time, as PM.
In this meeting, deputy PM Thaci was given assurances that Turkey will back the accession of Kosovo in the European Council and NATO. /ibna/
