The Istanbul Stock Exchange opened with a rise of 1.2% or 1,102.94 points on Tuesday, with the index amounting to 93,174.07 points.
At Monday’s close, the BIST 100 index rose 2.81% and 92,071.13 points, with the trading volume at 8.8 billion Turkish lira ($ 1.3 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate fell to 6.7510 at 09:30 (local time) on Tuesday, compared with 6.7690 at the last close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate increased to 7.3120 points, compared to the 7.3060 points at the previous closure, while the British pound/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 8.3180, when on Monday it was 8.3450.
The price of Brent crude oil was USD 33.89 a barrel on Tuesday morning./ibna
