Turkey has distributed free corona protection masks in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
The Turkish Ministry of Health and the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure have jointly decided on the free distribution of masks through the Turkish Post website.
Citizens can apply for free masks through the Turkish Post’s e-commerce website. Each citizen can receive 5 free masks per week.
Last week, the Turkish president announced that citizens would not be able to enter shops and markets without the use of a face mask to deal with the spread of coronavirus.
The ban on the movement of citizens under the age of 20 and over 65 also precludes them from obtaining free masks. The decision to ban the circulation of these age groups was taken to protect vulnerable groups and to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
According to official figures from the Ministry of Health, 27,069 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed and 574 deaths have been reported./ibna
