Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced late Tuesday night at a press conference the first case of coronavirus in Turkey
“The results of a citizen who was tested for coronavirus came back positive today”, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said.
The Minister of Health went on to note that the patient had picked the virus in Europe and remained completely isolated. The patient’s clinical condition is good, while all members of his family and all the people from his environment are being monitored.
Fahrettin Koca urged citizens not to travel abroad unless they absolutely have to, and to comply with all the coronavirus protection guidelines announced by the Ministry of Health. “One or more cases should not be considered an epidemic”, the Minister concluded. /ibna
