Turkey’s exports rose 9.6% YoY to $ 16 billion in February, the country’s statistics authority announced on Wednesday.
Turkey’s imports rose 9.4% last month to $ 19.3 billion, raising the foreign trade deficit to $ 3.29 billion, an increase of 8.7%, according to TurkStat.
The export-import coverage ratio was 82.9% in February, from 82.8% the previous year.
During the first two months of the year, exports surged by 5.9% to $ 31.04 billion, while imports grew by 1.4% to $ 37.38 billion on a yearly basis.
In the January-February period, trade deficit dropped 15.9% to $ 6.35 billion, compared to the same period last year. /ibna
