The export-import coverage ratio increased by 86.8% during the January-November 2019 period, compared to the same period last year, as Turkish Minister of Commerce Ruhsar Pekcan announced.
Exports in November totaled $ 16.2 billion, a figure which constitutes the fourth highest export amount in the last 11 months.
Ruhsar Pekcan also noted that the foreign trade deficit decreased by 51.84%, to $ 25.1 billion.
“Exports rose by 1.77% in the 11-month period compared to the same period last year, reaching $ 165.6 billion and maintaining a strong upward tendency”, Pekcan stressed.
Commenting on growth data also released todayw which appear up by 0.9% on an annual basis, Pekcan said third-quarter figures show that Turkey is back on a positive track, adding that his expectations for growth in the last quarter are even higher. /ibna
