Turkey announces curfew for population over 65

By decision of the Turkish Interior Ministry, anyone over the age of 65 and suffering from chronic illnesses is prohibited from stepping outside and walking on the streets. This is practically a curfew, and some kind of loophole may be provided so that they will be allowed to leave their homes on special permits.

Since 11 March, when the first case of coronavirus was recorded in Turkey, the country has already confirmed 9 deaths and 670 outbreaks.

The Ministry of Health also announced the recruitment of all private hospitals and clinics. /ibna
