Turkey and Libya sign two Memoranda of Understanding

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with Libyan Presidential Council President Fayez al-Sarraj on Wednesday in Istanbul.

According to the Presidency, Turkey and Libya have signed two Memoranda of Understanding on “Security and Military Cooperation” and “Restriction of Maritime Jurisdiction”.

The meeting between Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Fayez al-Sarraj lasted 2 hours and 15 minutes and was attended by Turkey, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, Defense Hulusi Akar and Head of the MIT Hakan Fidan.

The Presidency notes in its communication that the agreements are an effort to strengthen relations and co-operation between the two countries./ibna
