The index of turnover in the sectors of industry, construction, trade and services adjusted for the calendar year increased by 23.5% in August, compared to the same month of the previous year, according to the Turkish Statistical Service (TurkStat).
Examining the secondary details of the total turnover, the turnover index of the industrial sector increased by 29.4%, of the construction sector by 5.8%, of the commercial sector by 32.8%, while the turnover index of the services sector decreased by 5.2% on an annual basis in August.
The turnover ratio in all industries, construction, trade and services increased by 3% on a monthly basis in August.
Examining the secondary details of the total turnover, the turnover index of the industrial sector increased by 5.9%, the construction index by 2%, the trade index by 4.8%, while the services index decreased by 6.1% in August compared to the previous month.
In another TurkStat announcement, industrial production in Turkey increased by 3.4% in August compared to July and 10.4% annually.
According to the subsectors, the intermediate goods index recorded the highest monthly and annual increases in August with 13.6% and 4.8%, respectively, TurkStat announced.
With 12.6%, the durable goods index recorded the second highest annual increase, followed by the manufacturing index with 11.4%./ibna
