Tsipras spoke on the phone with Merkel-Dijsselbloem

The Greek Prime Minister, Alexis Tsipras, had a telephone conversation with the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, according to government sources, who note that the discussion took place in a positive atmosphere, following the meeting in Brussels. Late Sunday night there was a meeting of the economic team at the Maximos Mansion under the Prime Minister, for the valuation of what happened in the Eurogroup and Ecofin in Latvia.

According to government sources, in the conversation between Tsipras and Merkel, there was a common desire for constant communication throughout the course of the negotiations, to reach a mutually beneficial solution.

The Greek PM also had a telephone conversation with President of the Eurogroup, Jeroen Dijsselbloem.

Government sources also reported that the president of SOE, Giorgos Chouliarakis had a telephone conversation with European Commission official, Declan Costello. The two men agreed for the works of the «Brussels Group» to start as soon as possible, and on Monday to have a teleconference. The «Brussels Group» will be repeated in person Wednesday to accelerate results.

Late Sunday afternoon,  Tsipras had a meeting at the Maximos Mansion with the Deputy Prime Minister, Giannis Dragasakis, Finance Minister, Yanis Varoufakis, Deputy Foreign Minister, Euclidis Tsakalotos and close associates with the aim to evaluate what happened in Eurogroup and Ecofin and the strategy for the next few days.

In the meeting was also evaluated the message foreign minister, Nikos Kotzias brought from his visit to the US, regarding aid to Greece, in order to overcome the economic financial nightmare that is praying to lead the country in uncharted waters.
