The immediate convening of an extraordinary summit of Eurozone Summit, in order to ensure compliance with last July’s agreement on Greece, asks Alexis Tsipras of Donald Tusk, with who he has planned  a telephone conversation on Wednesday morning.

This became known on Tuesday night by the Greek government sources. The intervention of the Prime Minister takes place after the postponement of the extraordinary Eurogroup on Thursday, a postponement that was announced by the representative of the president of the Eurogroup with a post on Twitter. According to him it takes longer and the meeting of eurozone finance ministers for the first evaluation, the package of emergency measures and the debt will take place in the following period.

The negotiations are now expected to continue after the Orthodox Easter. As Tsakalotos said, the head of the echelons called for a stop in negotiations on Tuesday to consult with each other and with their political superiors. The Finance Minister also said that the Greek side will not accept to include specific measures in the package of “preventive” interventions of EUR 3.6 billion. He observed that “we have rejected this proposal” without, however, excluding the IMF being obsessed with concrete measures.
