Management at the Trepce Mine has informed today public opinion and the institutions of Kosovo on the serious condition that this company is facing, due to the failure of issuing it with a license.
According to a press release issued on Wednesday, Trepce Mine has been without a license since 24 January 2015.
“The circumstances that have been created after the suspension of production have caused Trepce significant financial damages and problems in its functioning. Production is the main source of the incomes and this mine has been deprived of this right thus putting at risk the functioning of the enterprise. Therefore, the miners and management of Trepce demand from the institutions of Kosovo to take measures in order for Trepce to be issued with a license for exploitation. Institutions of Kosovo must be fully committed for Trepce, because this is not only the responsibility of the management and miners, but of everyone, in spite of the numerous problems that the country is going through”, says the press statement. /ibna/
