A report issued by “Transparency” organization in Skopje says that political parties are funded by suspicious sources.
According to this analysis, suspicions donations have been identified for the funding of political parties.
“Unemployed people and people who receive salaries of more than 300 thousand Euros are donors of the main political parties in the country. This makes you suspect that political parties are funded with money coming from unknown people and unemployed people. I think that this can be clarified by the tax authorities”, said the head of Transparency, Sladjana Taseva.
The report includes the period from 1 January until the start of March, while in the past two months alone, the two largest parties VMRO-DPMNE and SDSM, have spent 50 thousand euros for the campaign and other services.
The majority of the funds have been spent for spots in social networks.
Meanwhile, other parties have not issued details on their expenses.
This report is issued ahead of the early elections which will take place on 5 June. /ibna/
