Albania has regressed in the fight against corruption. This is confirmed by the latest report issued by Transparency International, according to which, Albania has lost eight positions in the global corruption barometer 2018.
In the latest report, Albania ranks 99th among 180 countries of the world, while a year ago, the country ranked 91st.
This has made Albania one of the three most corrupt countries in Europe, followed by Moldova and Ukraine.
However, Transparency International says that this drop has not prevented the country from being one of the best performers since 2013 as far as the fight against corruption is concerned.
On a global level, Denmark is the less corrupted country in the world, while Somalia is the most corrupted one. /ibna/
