Tirana is hosting the Fourth International Guitar Festival with the participation of guitar players from all over the world. The festival is organized by the “Guitar Foundation of Albania” and Tirana University of Arts.
The program offers a variety of classical guitar pieces and contemporary experimental composing.
The first evening of the festival is dedicated to composer and guitar player Vlatko Stefanovski and then the virtuoso guitar player from Djakovica, Agron Peni, a brilliant talent of the new generation of Albanian guitar players.
During the four nights that the Academy of Arts hosts this festival, there will be concerts by guitar players from Vienna, Zurich, Athens and Bangkok.
The artistic director of the festival, guitar player Admir Doci says that the Guitar International Festival will be a good opportunity for all the students of the Academy of Art, which are offered the possibility of taking lessons from the best names in Europe.
A great number of professors, students and visitors from Austria, Albania, Greece, USA, Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, FYROM, Thailand, Montenegro, Lichtenstein, etc., turn this festival in one of the biggest events of cultural exchanges between the countries and cultures of the region.
