President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci has gathered today the Consultative Council for Communities, which has held its general meeting.
In this meeting, president Thaci said that 2016 has been a year of successes for this Council, as it has delivered its mission to offer a mechanism for a regular exchange between communities and state institutions in Kosovo.
The president said that Kosovo has been built based on the most important international documents and principles for the protection of human rights. He added that the state institutions are working for these principles to be applied to the letter and for every citizen of Kosovo to feel free, regardless of his ethnicity.
Speaking about the process of normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, the president called on everyone to be part of the process for the normalization of these relations and reconciliation within Kosovo.
“We have suffered enough as a result of hate and confrontation, therefore everyone should look into the future. We must all focus on achieving cross ethnic reconciliation in Kosovo, as a condition for a joint cohabitation, development, creation of new jobs and social wellbeing”, he said. /balkaneu.com/
