The EU ambassador to Skopje, Aivo Orav declared that no time must be wasted and that there’s no plan B for the solution of crisis in FYR Macedonia.
Commenting the negotiations for the implementation of the June 2 agreement for the solution of the crisis, Orav said that the Special Prosecutor must be elected until 15 September.
“I’m expecting the Special Prosecutor to be elected before the deadline in order for this institution to start work on 16 September”, declared today EU ambassador Orav.
Orav said that it’s clear to him that the process of talks is facing difficulties, but encouraged political sides to find compromise.
“I’m happy that many good things have been achieved so far. Work groups are talking about the forms, the opposition came back to parliament on September 1 and this was one of the key elements of the agreement, while next week, we’re ahead of another important thing, the election of the Special Prosecutor”, Orav said.
Ambassador Orav also announced the visit of the EU Enlargement Commissioner, Johannes Hahn to Skopje on September 18. /ibna/
