Greece is the crutch of the weak, said Nicos Anastasiades
The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, welcomed the Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who is on an official visit to Cyprus, the first since his election on 7 July.
Upon his arrival at the presidential palace, Mr. Mitsotakis welcomed the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nicos Christodoulides. Then the Prime Minister of Greece submitted a wreath to the statue of Archbishop Makarios, the first President of the Republic of Cyprus, and headed for the entrance of the Presidential Palace, where Nicos Anastasiades awaited him, in crutches, as he is still recovering from his foot injury and the surgery that followed.
Indeed, Nicos Anastasiades did not fail in their brief statements in front of the camera to compare the crutch he used with the fact that Greece is the crutch of the weak, as he said. However, both emphasized that Greece and Cyprus would face the challenges altogether, while Mr. Mitsotakis told the Cypriot President that the Greek people gave a strong mandate to change the country and that when Greece is strong, Hellenism is strong everywhere./ibna
